avocado toast

Although this quick snack is relatively self-explanatory, it’s definitely worth sharing! Perfect for when you’re running late and need something in a jiffy.

To make:

  1. toast a slice of bread or two of your choosing (this was a gluten-free seeded selection from New Cascadia Bakery in Portland)
  2. slice open an avocado and using a fork, mash half of it
  3. scoop out avocado onto toasted bread and spread evenly
  4. now for the fun part: toppings!
    • cherry tomatoes if you have them
    • fresh squeezed lemon
    • drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
    • dash of seasonings ~ paprika, cumin, sea salt + ground pepper
    • sprinkled with nutritional yeast
    • topped w/ sesame + flaxseeds
